Logan's 1st Christmas

Logan's first Christmas was great except that he had his first real cold. But even a fever and an ear infection couldn't slow him down!

He got so many great presents! He's definitely a spoiled boy. Thanks everybody!

Wrapping paper and bows were his favorite part. He'd crawl right over a present to get to a bow!

Logan got a red wagon from his grandpa. He couldn't wait for his dad to finish putting it together.

Best Buddies

We realized that Marley hasn't made very many appearances on a blog that is technically half his. So here are some pictures of Marley and Logan posing by the Christmas tree.

Off to his favorite toy - Marley's water bowl.

This one is a little blurry - he was throwing the garland around in the air.
Playing the drums on Marley's side.
We don't know what is in this present from the Edwards' family but it is Logan's FAVORITE box to play with.

Thanksgiving 2009

We went to Cashiers NC to visit Granddad, Mom-Mom, Aunt Jan & Uncle Stan for Logan's first Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving dinner.

It's cold here!!!!

Three generations of Borregards (in their jammies!)

Hanging out with Aunt Jan & Uncle Stan (finally!)

Sorry Bets... we tested out the shirt you gave Logan but he's 100% Gator!!

Our first 5K

We participated in our 1st 5K on Saturday (well the first for Logan and I).  I had two goals: (1) don't walk at all and (2) don't come in last place.  I am very happy that I accomplished both.  I just need to work on speed for the next race.

Logan and I pre-race
Logan and I post-race (same picture only pinker)

And Logan got a tricycle from one of our neighbors.  Do you think he likes it???

Halloween

Bill and I enjoyed our first Halloween (not sure if Logan did).  We did learn a few things though.  First, it's best not to wait until October 29th to go to the pumpkin patch.  The few that were left were rotted.  Luckily for us Logan didn't know what he was missing.  Next year we will be more on the ball.

Secondly, gorilla costumes must be made for Northerners not Floridians!  Logan didn't appreciate having to wear this costume in 90 degree heat :)

Road Trip #3 - Tampa

Bill spent a few days in Tampa for work so we decided to go over early and spend the weekend. We had a great hotel along the water next to the hockey arena and Aquarium.

Here we are getting ready to watch the Florida - Miss State game.  Logan and I fell asleep during halftime.  Good thing - it was a messy win.

The aquarium was our favorite part of the trip.  Here's Logan being a daredevil "petting" the sting rays.

He liked the gators and sharks but the ducks freaked him out a little.

But, as usual, he liked the plants best!

Here are some shots from the playground.  The slide wasn't quite big enough for Bill!

Gainesville / Madison Trip

Unfortunately a few days after we returned from the Keys, Bill's grandmother passed away.  So we packed the car up and set out on Logan's 2nd road trip.  We were a little worried how he would do on such a long trip to Georgia but we broke it up and he did great!

Whatcha staring at???

Our stop on the way to GA was Gainesville (of course!).  We spent the night and then took Logan to the stadium in the morning.  In all the time I lived there I never went to the stadium when there wasn't a game happening.  It's quite a different experience!  Logan LOVED the Gator in front of the stadium.

Key West

We went to Key West with Megan, Donnie and the kids for a long weekend.  We had a nice place with a pool within walking distance to all the action on Duval Street.

Kickin' back on Duval street

Playing with Reese

We decided to get Logan's caricature done at Mallory Square.  The lights were so hot I didn't think Logan would last the 6 minutes but he did great!
Semi-final drawing.  He is dressed like a sailor (just like Dad) in the final picture.

We went to Dog Beach since we had Marley with us.  The map makes it out to be a large beach.  In reality it's very small and the shore is rocky with tons of seaweed.  Not too kid friendly but Reese and Quinn didn't seem to mind one bit.

Margarita-mustache - don't worry, it was a virgin margarita.  I definitely think the Edwards girls will be back to Key West when they are older though!
